The day began at Sky Cottage, a beautiful home perched high on the mountain with breathtaking ocean views. Both the getting-ready moments and ceremony took place here, creating a peaceful and intimate atmosphere for their special day.
Having both lost their fathers, the wedding carried a deep emotional meaning. One of the most touching moments was when Megan and Rylin each wrote a letter to their fathers, placed it inside a bottle, and released it into the sea — a beautiful tribute to the two people they wished could have been there. Their couple portraits took us to the train tracks and rocky shoreline, where the rugged beauty of Simon’s Town and the endless ocean created the perfect backdrop for romantic, timeless photographs.
Megan and Rylin’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that love and loss can exist side by side. Although their fathers were deeply missed, their memories were honoured in a moment that made the day even more meaningful.
